Besides being a physiotherapist, Guusje is also very skilled in massages to de-stress the body. This allows her to quickly provide relief for painful neck, shoulder, and lower back complaints.

Trude Jennekens
Trude is our nutrition specialist who looks beyond counting calories; she is an orthomolecular therapist with a specialization in hormones. By replenishing your body with the right vitamins and minerals, your body can also physically recover from a burnout.

Wouter van Aalst
Most clients call Wouter the physical psychologist. He helps you listen closely to what your body is telling you and helps you set boundaries. Once you can connect with your body in the gym again, you can do the same outside the gym.

Jacqueline Heijen is an experienced psychologist specializing in Work, Organization & Health. With a down-to-earth and open-minded approach, Jacqueline works on an analysis of you as a person in the workplace and beyond, followed by a treatment to reduce your stress and tension. Jacqueline also works as a Psychology lecturer at Radboud University.

First Aid for Breathing
Many complaints such as neck pain and lower back pain are caused by disrupted breathing. By addressing this, you get more peace in your body, stronger abs, and more energy.

Learning to relax
We teach you how to reconnect with your body, so you can trust your body again and start moving with pleasure, without complaints or pain.

Sleep and Detox
Detoxing mainly happens while you sleep, allowing your body to rebuild itself at a cellular level. Since everything starts with the cell, this is a very important part of this program.

Getting to the core
Where is your real problem and how do we prevent you from ending up in a burnout again? Which balls do you want to keep in the air and which ones can you drop?
What makes this burnout program unique?
The reason you are in a burnout wasn’t caused by a single drop or event that made your bucket overflow.
The final straw is usually not the problem but a result of a buildup of events and choices. Covid, job loss, or a divorce can be triggers, but by only addressing those, your bucket remains nearly full and it’s just a matter of time until the next drop falls.
Most burnout programs focus on stress mindset. In addition to stress mindset, we also focus on detoxing the body so that waste products can leave your cells and new cells can be built. Your lymph system, together with your organs, plays an important role in this.
We also test which nutrients you should avoid and which deficiencies you have, so you can nourish your body optimally and experience energy again.
Literally getting the body moving is a catalyst for many processes in the body. By feeling safe again and trusting your body, you will also start to feel better in your own skin.
Besides training, there is also room for relaxation in the form of relaxation massages, and we discuss how you can improve your sleep.

What does a burnout program cost?
During the free burnout analysis, we test where your strengths and weaknesses lie. Based on that, we provide you with advice.
If you think we can help you, we can also look at the approximate costs to get you fit and energetic again.
How much it will cost depends on several factors. Some clients don’t need a psychologist, others benefit greatly from improving nutrition to detox their body and lower their stress levels. And other clients do very well with movement & massages.
What we can share with you are our hourly rates.
Psychologist: 150 euros per hour
Personal Trainer: 96 euros per hour
Nutritional advice: 50 euros per hour
Lymphatic massage: 65 euros per 45 min
A burnout is usually a buildup of multiple problems; we can very quickly see what you need and in what order to get rid of your symptoms.
We want to give you this advice for free, because we believe that Nijmegen can become physically and mentally fit within 3 generations.

When can I start?
Usually within the same week.
Is this program covered by health insurance?
No, but you can submit the costs with your annual tax return under the heading “other healthcare costs.”
Does this program fit within the reintegration plan from my employer?
Absolutely. Only specialized and certified experts are connected to the Bamboo Balance program. Check with your manager or company doctor about the implementation and reimbursement of the Bamboo Balance program.
What if I can't exercise for 60 minutes yet?
We adapt everything to your level. So if you can only exercise for 30 minutes, that’s okay too; the other 30 minutes we can focus on your nutrition, lymphatic massages, breathwork, or stretching. Some clients don’t even exercise at all during the first month.
I have an injury
That’s no problem; we can solve this during our training sessions.
